About

Eleanor Hamilton is a wildlife filmmaker and visual storyteller based in the UK. She works with broadcast television, environmental organisations and brands to create films and visual content that tell genuine stories about nature, conservation, and the people who work to protect it.

Her work ranges from blue-chip documentaries to impactful films and short-form content for charities and NGOs, connecting audiences more closely with the natural world and encouraging public engagement and environmental awareness.

Eleanor has a background in long-lens camerawork and British natural history, and has filmed wildlife behaviour and conservation stories in remote locations. Her work blends storytelling with a solid understanding of ecological issues, allowing her to create films that capture the beauty of nature while also highlighting its value, challenges and impact.

In addition to her commissioned projects, Eleanor continues to document the wildlife of the British Isles, focusing particularly on the remote landscapes of the Outer Hebrides. This began with her first film, the award-winning documentary "Life on the Machair" which raised awareness of the rare and endangered habitat found on these islands. The project opened further documentary opportunities with BBC Scotland and BBC Alba and continues to influence her storytelling today.
